In a Saudi city, there is a woman who lives with her husband and children.Their house is right next to a mosque. Unfortunately, God tested him with a drunk husband.
Not for one or two days, unless the husband must beat him and his children, and even throw him out into the street.
Almost all the residents in their neighborhood are actually very sorry for him and his children. Especially if they pass his house. Almost every day they enter the mosque to perform the prayers, but after that they return home without providing any assistance, even with a sentence of comforter of his heart.
How often had they seen and watched the poor woman with her little children sitting beside her door to wait for the drunkard's husband to open the door and send her in, after she had thrown him out with the children. But it was just a futile wait.
Finally, if the poor woman made sure that her husband was asleep, she would have one of her sons jump in and open the door of the house from the inside. He will soon go into his house and quickly go into the room and lock it to wait until her husband is aware of his hangover.
And there, the poor woman started praying and crying in front of God to give guidance and forgiveness for her husband.
No one worshiped the mosque-either the priest or the muezzin-who could speak to the drunkard's husband and give him advice, even for the sake of the woman and her children who had been tormented by it all.
Not to mention that they also know the drunkard man is not only afraid of Allah and disturbing, he also has many problems with the neighbors in his neighborhood. His heart is very hard.
And the unfortunate woman did not pray for her drunken husband in the last third of the night. He begged God with His glorious Names to illuminate his husband's heart with the guidance of faith.
His days he used to pray for the best for her husband, while he and his children continue to feel the torment and no one pity them over all that, besides Allah.
No brother, father and mother to protect. Everyone got away from him. Everyone has never felt the presence and the problem. He seemed to be a figure who was wasted from his neighbors and family, due to her husband's behavior.
One day, when the poor woman visited one of her friends who lived in another neighborhood; to a friend who would open his heart to listen to his complaints that he told all his suffering.
About what her husband did to her and her children when she was being influenced by liquor. The friend was really sympathetic to what he was going through.
"Calm down, I will tell my husband to meet and advise him," he said. And her husband is a prudent young man, loving kindness to others. He also memorizes the Qur'an and likes to disguise ma'ruf nahi munkar.
The unfortunate woman agreed with the condition that her friend did not tell her that she was the one who asked her to do so, because do not let her drunk husband get angry, beat her and throw her out of the house onto the streets for the umpteenth time of knowing it all. The friend agreed that this plan was a secret between them alone.
After the prayer isya, the friend's husband went straight to meet the poor woman's husband. He knocked on his door and soon the drunken man came out in a drunken stupor.
He opens the door and turns out to find a very clean man, his beard is long and black, his face is radiant, and he looks less than 25 years old.
While the drunken man whose age has reached 40 years on his face only visible signs of anger and away from God. He looked at the door knocker and asked:
"Who are you? And what do you want? "
"I am fulan bin fulan. I love you because Allah and I have come to visit you ..., "replied the young man politely.
However, not to mention he finished his speech, suddenly the drunk man spat in his face and took out his insults and insults. "May Allah curse you, O dog !! This is not the time to visit! Go there !! "she snapped angrily.
From the mouth of the drunkard it bursts with the aroma of liquor, as if the whole neighborhood is filled with a disgusting aroma.
The good man then wiped the saliva that stuck to his face and said: "Jazakallah khairan (May Allah reward you with kindness). Maybe I was wrong because it came at the wrong time. But, I will come again to visit you at other times, God willing. "
"I do not want to see your face again! If you come again, I'll break your neck !! "replied the drunk while slamming the door.
The good man went back to his house while he said: "Alhamdulillah, Allah has given this spit in his ways. Praise be to Allah who has given me the opportunity to get this insults and insults in my religion ... "
In his heart, he was determined to save the woman and her children from their suffering. He felt that this whole world would open the door for him if he could save the family from destruction.
He begins to pray for the drunkard in times of easy prayer. He begged God to help him to save the family from his eternal suffering. Sadness filled his heart, and now his only obsession was to see the drunkard as the ones who got the guidance.
He then tried to visit the drunk man several times, but he got nothing but what he had previously earned.
Until finally, at one time, he was determined not to leave the drunkard's house unless he spoke and delivered what he wanted to say. He knocked on the door of his house and the drunken man went out as drunk as ever.
"Have not I thrown you out of here many times ?! Why are you stubborn and always come back when I have thrown you out? !!! "he shouted.
"So true. But I love you for Allah, and I want to sit with you even for a few minutes, For the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
'Whoever visits his brother for God, will call upon the host in heaven; 'You have done good, and your steps are good, then you have occupied heaven as your place' (HR: At Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah).
The drunkard began to be embarrassed in the face of the youth's persistence despite having to get all his treatment.
"But right now I'm drinking, while you, from your face it seems you are a righteous man. I can not possibly let you see my drink bottles, because it's not worthy of you ... "he began to soften.
"It is okay! Let me go into your drink and see all your bottles. Let us talk while you drink your drink, because I did not come here to forbid you to drink. I just came to visit you ... "said the young man.
"If so, please come in ..." said the drunkard.
So for the first time, the young man came into the house after repeatedly all bad treatment and expulsion. And at that time, he felt very confident if God wanted something good for him
The drunkard took her into the room where she was drinking. To the drunkard, the young man began to convey the majesty of God, about what God prepared for the believers in heaven and for the infidels in Hell and about repentance.
That Allah loves His repentant servant if he pleads guidance on Him. God is very pleased with the repentance of His servant. If a repentant sinner repents, then God will answer the door three times and not once. He also alludes to the merits of visiting each other for God's sake.
The young man saw the drunk's face showing signs of kindness. The drunkard listened quietly to what he was saying. And the young man does not mention the khamr (liquor) and his prohibition, even though he knows that drinking it is a great sin.
Until he came home, not a single sentence about the khamr he uttered. The young man came home after asking the drunkard to allow him to visit and visit again. and he agreed. The young man went home.
A few days after that, the young man returned to meet the drunkard who was apparently drunk. but just as he knocked on the door of the house, soon the drunkard greeted him and invited him into where he drank his liquor.
He then began to talk about heaven and what God promised to those who repented and repented of his sin. He noticed that this drunkard had started to stop drinking his drink when he was talking.
The young man felt closer to him and slowly he began to smash the glass after glass in his heart slowly. And the discontinuity of drinking is a sign that he is beginning to understand what he is saying.
The young man then took out a very expensive bottle of perfume from his pocket. He gave it as a gift to the drunkard and immediately out of the house. That day, he was very happy with what he had accomplished during his visit. There is a significant development ...
A few days later, he returns to the drunkard and he finds it has undergone tremendous changes. Although he was still drunk, but the situation was much different.
This time, after the young man talked about Heaven and Hell, the drunk was crying like a child saying: "God certainly will not accept my repentance! God surely will not forgive me! I hate scholars, hate righteous people, even hate everyone! Even hate myself! I'm a drunken animal! God will not accept me, will not accept my repentance even though I repent.
If God loves me, He will not let me drink this liquor. He will not get me in this condition, the misdeeds I've been living for years ... "
Hugging him, the good man said to him:
"Allah will accept your repentance. And the repentant is like a person who has no sin. The door of repentance will always be open, no one can stop you with God. Happiness is entirely in this religion.
What will happen in tomorrow will be far more beautiful if you are pleading guidance to God with a true heart. There is nothing you have to do except to plead guidance to Allah with a sincere heart. God will surely receive you ... "
He then said that he would travel to Makkah with some of his friends. He offered the drunkard to participate. But the drunkard said: "But I'm a drunk. Your friends would not want me to be with them on this journey ... "
"Do not think so! They love you like me too. It will not be a problem for them if you accompany them in your condition like this. We will go to Makkah to perform Umrah. Once done, we'll be back in town soon. we will be very happy with your existence along our journey ... "said the good man.
The drunkard said, "Will you allow me to bring my bottles with you, because I can not part from him for a moment?"
With great joy, the good man replied: "Bring with you if he should be brought!"
The young man's views were very far ahead, though the risk was enormous if he carried the bottles in his car. Moreover, by bringing with a drunk and in a drunken condition as well.
For a trip to Makkah filled with police checkpoints. But he chose to take that risk to save the poor woman with her children. Because who seeks to realize a great goal, all problems become small in his view.
"Get up now and wash and wash, then put on your ihram clothes ...," the boy told the drunk.
The young man came out to his car to get his special ihram outfit for the drunken man. Let him buy another one for him to wear. After the drunken man began to get ready, he went to his wife and said: "I will go to Makkah to perform umrah with some Shaykh ..."
The twinkling of happiness emanated on her face as she listened. She immediately prepared her husband's bag. The drunk man immediately bathed and wore his ihram clothes, even though he was still drunk.
The good man told him to hurry up, not to let him change his mind again not to join them together to perform Umrah. He really did not believe he had a great chance to be alone with the drunkard and keep him away from the conditions that remind him to get drunk and also from his evil friends.
If only he knew, maybe he would not want to come or the devil would try to hold him from another door so do not want to join Umrah with him. After contacting his friends, the young man immediately went to pick them up to go together to perform Umrah.
Not long after that, the car went to Makkah. The good man who drove him and beside him sat the drunk man. While in the back seat sat two of his friends who participated with them. Along the way he kept reading the short suras and some hadith of the Prophet from the book of Sahih Al-Bukhari, and all of them discussed about repentance.
While the drunk guy did not know how to read Al-Fatihah. When it was his turn to get to him, his three traveling companions had to read the sura three times to justify his false readings without having to say: "You are wrong!" Or "It is absurd that anyone is wrong in reciting Al-Fatihah."
Thus they finally finished reading short surahs several times and also read the hadiths about the virtue of good deeds, and the drunken man listened quietly ...
And before arriving in Makkah, the three friends agreed that they would not enter Makkah unless the drunken comrade had been fully aware of his drunkenness. They decide to spend the night in one of the resorts for exhaustion and want to sleep until Shubuh approach, to then continue their journey.
The drunkard urges them that he can drive the car if they want to sleep in the car all the way, because he can not sleep at all. But they say: "Thank you, Jazakallah khair and may Allah bless you. But we want to enjoy this trip with you. Let us spend as much time together as possible. "
He was forced to agree. They finally got into one of the resting places by the side of the road. They prepared a bedding for their drunken comrade and they deliberately arranged it to sleep between them so that he could see what they would do.
They then discussed the ethics of sleep and how they slept in accordance with the sunna as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) slept. The drunken comrade watched and followed what they were doing, until a few minutes later he fell into a deep sleep.
Before the time of Shubuh, the three friends got up and did evening prayers in the final third of the night. They pray for their drunken comrade who slept in his sleep due to the influence of alcohol. They prostrate and pray before God to give them guidance and return it to His religion as well as possible.
When he was still asleep in his sleep, he suddenly woke up and saw the three young men doing night prayers. They weep and wail before God. Suddenly infiltrate a feeling of fear within him. He began to realize from his drunken little by little.
He kept an eye on what the young man did at night. While he was behind his blanket concealed his fragile body, his heavy anxiety and his great shame to the youths and also to God.
He begins to ask himself: "How can I go with those righteous men, they get up to do the evening prayer, weep for fear of Allah, they sleep and eat like the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) while I am drunk!"
The questions raged in his head until he could not start sleeping again. And soon the muadzin pronounced the call to prayer Shubuh. The three young men returned to their bed as if they had never woken up before.
Not long afterwards, they awaken the drunk comrade for Shubuh prayer. They did not know that he had been watching over what they were doing from under the covers.
He got up to perform ablution, then went to the mosque to perform dawn prayers with the three young men.
This time is much more balanced than before. He performed the morning prayer with them, then returned to his resting place with his three friends whom he loved because of their noble qualities and perseverance they held on to religion and treated him with the respect of human beings. And he has never seen anything like it before ...
After that, they prepared breakfast and tried to be gracious to serve the drunken comrade as if he were the leader and they were the servants who served and glorified him.
From time to time, they talk with beautiful sentences, so that he feels very happy in their midst. He began to compare his situation among his neighbors who said he really hated him. He listened to their conversation about eating things.
They then eat what is there until the time syuruq (sunrise). They then stood on dhuha prayer, then went back to sleep until about 10 am to make sure that their one friend was fully conscious of his hangover and returned to normal as usual.
After he regained consciousness, the drunkard felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. He then drew his younger friend and whispered: "How can you take me drunk with the righteous 'Shaykh'? May Allah forgive you! Besides, I found my bottle of drinking in the car. Who's taking him? "
The good man replied: "I brought him after I saw you insist on taking him and you would not come with us if you did not take him!"
"Did your friends see it?" Asked the drunken friend.
"No. They did not see it because he was in a black bag, "replied the young man.
"Alhamdulillah, thank goodness if they do not see it ...," he said.
After that, they move towards Makkah. The drunken comrade was with them. And what they did to him at the beginning of his journey was also what they did to him on this journey.
They read short surahs and motivational ahadith along the way. They noticed that the drunken comrade had started reading those short suras better than before.
Much of what they read along the way until they reached Makkah and entered the Grand Mosque. And they still glorify their drunken friends with the best ...
They do thawaf and sa'i, then drink zamzam water. Then the drunken comrade asked for permission to go to Multazam (the wall located at the Ka'bah between the Black Stone and the Ka'bah Door). They let him, and he went there with the good man ...
He clung to the multazam and began to weep in a voice as if the pillars of the Kaaba shuddered by the cries and wails of the drunken man. Tears streaming down the Ka'bah's court. The good man heard the cry, and he cried like that. He listened to his prayer, then guaranteed it from behind ...
A thrilling sight if you see it. The drunk man prayed to God to accept his repentance. He promised God not to go back to the booze again and he asked God to help him for it.
There is no prayer that he knows other than: "O my Lord, have mercy on me. O my Lord, I have committed too many sins, so love me, for You are the Master of the heavens and the earth.
If you reject me from the door of Your Mercy, then to whom I must return. If You do not accept my repentance, then who else besides You will love me. O my Lord, truly the doors of Your grace are wide open and I plead with You not You reject me in vain ... "
Her prayer is so thrilling that the people around her cry too. His crying is very heartbreaking, as if you feel his spirit has flown off into the sky when he begins to pray to his Lord.
She cried and begged for help until her young friends really felt a deep concern. He continues to be in this condition for an hour. He did not stop crying, wailing and praying to God, while his younger friends joined in crying behind him. An incredible sight ...
A man over 40 years of age, hanging on a Ka'bah kiswah. And the most heartwarming thing to cry about is the prayer that he says: "O my Lord, I always hit and chase my wife out when I get drunk, forgive me God for everything I do to her ...
My Lord, indeed Your affection covers everything, and I beg of You, My Lord that You may cover me with Your grace ..
My Lord, I stand before You, then do not You leave me with my bare hands ...
My God, if You do not love me, then who else besides You will love me ...
O my Lord, I repent, then accept my repentance. Say to me: 'I come, I come, O My servant!' O my Lord, please do not distress Your wajh from me ...
O my Lord, look to me, for I have filled the earth with the tears that are in me ...
O my Lord, indeed I stand before you, I am now visiting in your glorified house, so do not treat me as human beings treat me because of that man if I ask them, they reject me even underestimate me ...
O my Lord, lay my breast, light my eyes. O Allah, make thy light covering me, make me hate liquor all my life ...
My Lord, do not be angry with me and do not be angry at me how often I make You angry with my countless sins. I am rebellious to you and You see what I do ... "
At that time, the good man asked him to pray for him also to God. But the request made him even more tearful, he said: "Oh my God, is it from someone like me asked to pray for others? !!
O my Lord, I have been rebellious against You for 25 years. But You did not leave me and let me sink into sin ...
My Lord, I am a wicked man and sinner, I stand at Your door, then make me among Your good servants ...
So he wept and wept. You will not hear nothing but a voice covered with sorrow and lamentation.
Muadzin echoes the Ashar adhan. They sat down to do the prayers, while the repentant drunk still hung on the covering cloth of the Ka'bah, cried until his companion really pitied him, and then set him up to sit in the shaf of those who prayed that he could rest from his cry ...
The young man held him up and hugged him as if he were his mother or father. He also did a two-rak'ah prayer before Ashar, all of which was covered with weeping with a sobbing, heart-wrenching voice that disrupted the hearts of the people around him.
Really, the prayer of his wife in the middle of the night has been granted by God. Prayer of the righteous young man also finally bear sweet fruit ...
Similarly, the prayers of his friends in the night, all have achieved the goal they want to achieve from their journey. It is true that the prayer can make a person change into a different figure in an instant ...
Prayers finished already done. They then exit the Grand Mosque to find a hotel near the mosque and tears are still flowing into his face ...
Incidentally one of the entourage is a hafiz al-Quran. And he is a very tawadhu, humble and cheap smile. So when he saw how great their drunken friends were, he grew even more, so he insisted on bringing the drunk slippers to wear outside the door of the Grand Mosque.
The action of the Hafiz of the Qur'an reveals the extraordinary feelings known only to God in the drunk's heart.
They ended up renting a room at a hotel not far from the Grand Mosque. There they stayed for five days and the repentant drunk every day at the time of prayer came to the Grand Mosque, hanging in Multazam, weeping and making the people nearby cry too.
And in the night, he woke up to pray and wept. Almost you have never seen her sleep. During the day he wept at the Grand Mosque, then at night he woke up to pray and prayed to God in a crying voice.
And after the journey was over, they returned to their city. When they were on their way home, the 'drunkard' asked them to stop for a while. They also stopped briefly to follow his request. The 'drunkard' then took out his bottle from a black bag in front of his younger friends and two other accompanying friends
He poured out all his contents and said: "Watch this very glorious day of my life, I will never again drink it ..." He poured out all his contents while weeping over all the sins he had committed.
The eyes of his friends were filled with tears. They want to talk but they do not know how to express it. Tears are much stronger than a speech. They were crying.
They then went on their way. Silence overtook the journey, then the sound of a sob began to be heard and suddenly the sound of tangispun covered them ...
Before they finally arrived in their city, they said to him: "Now you will come into your house with radiant, loving and affectionate faces to your family ..."
They gave him advice to treat his wife's child well and to keep his prayers in the mosque near his home. If he continues to walk the path of guidance and repentance it will be because he has the grace of God. "By Allah, I will never disobey God forever," he said.
"Insya Allah," said his comrades in arms with tears that filled their eyelids.
He finally arrived at his home. He went to see his wife and children and his condition was completely different.
The wife is not trying to hide her joy over what she sees. She cried and hugged her husband. Her husband was crying and kissed her forehead. He then kissed his children one by one while crying.
The next days he fulfilled with his presence to pray at the mosque near his home. Slowly the signs of kindness appeared on his face. His beard he kept and looked white. His face began to radiate signs of happiness. He is like being born again.
That's how the days go by, until one day he asks the imam of the mosque to be able to help muadzin call the call to prayer every day.
The priest agreed, until the official muezzin of the mosque died. He also replaced his position.
He also began attending science assemblies. Then he decided to memorize the Koran until he finally managed to complete his memorization. He was later appointed a mosque imam next to his house, to this day.
Releasing the burden or trouble of others is one of the most important charities.Abu Hurairah ra said that Rasulullah SAW once said, "Whoever releases a burden / trouble from a Muslim in the world, Allah will certainly release from him a burden / burden among the burdens in the afterlife. Anyone who covers the shame of a Muslim in the world, Allah will surely cover his disgrace in the world and the hereafter. God always helps a servant as long as the servant helps his brother. "(An-Nasa'i, ath-Thabrani and al-Baihaqi).
Wallahu'alam bishshawabMay bring wisdom to all of us AAMIIN .
